Lloyd Samuels

SY-NC Programme Manager

Lloyd Samuels has over two decades of experience in community development, youth services, and media production. He has led numerous projects/initiatives that use sport and arts to support and transition young people into positive adults.
Currently, Lloyd manages the Youth Department at NUCA (Zest), developing programs that empower young people. His expertise in project management was instrumental in developing and leading SYNC, where he researched and secured funding for innovative community initiatives aimed at reducing child exploitation.
 
Previously, Lloyd played key roles at the Sheffield United Community Foundation, managing the citywide Kickz project, and at Mediation Sheffield, where he developed conflict resolution programs.
 
At present, Lloyd sits on steering groups at a strategic level while maintaining strong relationships with communities across Sheffield. His aim is for every child in the city to feel safe and have a strong sense of belonging.

Rob Furniss

SY-NC Administrator

Rob joined the SY-NC team to provide administrative support to the SY-NC Hub Team based at VAS, as well as the wider partnership team. Rob’s role focuses on delivering effective support as the SY-NC partnership develops, helping to ensure the sharing of knowledge, good practice, and evaluation results. This contributes to the ongoing work of SY-NC in reducing exploitation, supporting young people, families, and communities, and promoting the future development of youth work and youth workers across Sheffield.
