Paul is motivated by a passion for challenging inequalities and is dedicated to fostering strong communities across Sheffield. With a background in direct support for refugees and asylum seekers, his focus has now shifted to strategic volunteering development that enhances the wellbeing of individuals and enriches communities throughout the city.
As the Volunteering & Partnerships Manager at VAS, Paul oversees the Volunteer Centre, the New Beginnings project, the SPRING Partnership, and Sheffield Business Together.
In addition to these roles, he is a founding member and Trustee of ASSIST Sheffield, actively engages with a local community church, and enjoys exploring the beautiful peaks on a bike, all while cherishing time spent with family.
Tamara has worked in the voluntary and community sector across the UK for over 20 years, primarily in the homelessness and refugee sectors. She joined Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS) in 2022 and is currently the Volunteer Development Manager.
In her role, she oversees the Sheffield Volunteer Centre and provides volunteering good practice advice and support to organisations across the city. With extensive experience working with volunteers, supporting volunteer-involving organisations, and volunteering herself, Tamara is strongly committed to the value of volunteering for individuals, organisations, and communities. She is focused on supporting the growth of inclusive volunteering opportunities both within VAS and across Sheffield.
